Not for our first session! We will map out your goals, diagnose any barriers (technique, rhythm), and establish a clear path forward. If you want advice on an instrument, we can talk about that also! And, if you already have a guitar, bring it along and any music that you are working on right now or wish to.
Am I too old to learn?
Not at all. In fact, many of my clients have been adults who are picking up the guitar for the first time. Adults bring a unique advantage: focus and a clear sense of "why" you want to play! We skip the fluff and get straight to the music that moves you, no matter how long it’s been since your last lesson (or if it's never happened at all!).
How quickly will I see results?
My goal is to get you playing music within our first few sessions, giving you quick and satisfying results right away! By the end of your first month, we’ll have built enough momentum for you to perform your songs. We focus entirely on "small wins," building confidence one step at a time, so that even 10 minutes of focused daily play translates into real progress on the fretboard.
What times are available?
Life is busy and I get it! Instead of trying to force lessons into your schedule, let's find time that fits naturally around school runs and work commitments. Whether afternoons, evenings or weekends, I offer flexible slots across the week. To make sure we build a rhythm that works for everyone involved, our first session is perfect for mapping out a complete plan.
In-person or Online—which is better?
Both are highly effective, so you can choose what fits your lifestyle best! In-person sessions are preferred. They allow me to provide direct feedback on technique like hand positioning without internet connectivity and machine mismatches. Also, it's good practice to play live in front of someone! Online lessons offer great flexibility and convenience for busy schedules as long as the technology cooperates!
What's your Cancellation Policy?
Life happens, and I completely understand that plans change! Your lessons are reserved specifically for you, and consistent practice is key to your growth. If you need to cancel or reschedule, let me know at least 24 hours before our scheduled time. Because I cannot fill last-minute openings, lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed lessons, will be charged at the full rate. My goal is to stay as flexible as possible while keeping our momentum going!
